About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation seeks to procure vehicle access control gate systems for critical infrastructure security, with proposals due August 21, 2026 at 5 PM Pacific. This is a Women-Owned Small Business 100% set-aside.
Place of performance includes Hungry Horse Dam, Montana and Grand Coulee Dam, Washington. The procurement requires six automated vehicle access control gate systems: one hydraulic vertical pivot gate (21 feet × 8 feet) and one drop arm beam barrier system (K-12/M-50 crash rating, 264-inch clear opening) at Hungry Horse Dam; two hydraulic vertical pivot gates (14 feet × 8 feet, one right hand and one left hand open) and two drop arm beam barrier systems (K-12/M-50 crash rating, 168-inch clear openings each) at Grand Coulee Dam. All systems must be new, prefabricated, pre-wired, pre-balanced, and capable of integration with Software House CCure 9000 access control systems. Systems must feature weatherproof construction, extensive accessories including cold weather packages, loop detectors, reversing edges, magnetic locks, photo eyes, siren-operated sensors, electrical box heaters, and gloss white two-part epoxy paint with red reflective tape on barrier beams. All gates must conform exactly to specifications; sliding or bi-fold gates are not acceptable alternatives. Contractors provide local controllers and local controller programming only; the Bureau of Reclamation will integrate access controllers with Software House CCURE 9000 internally. Three-year warranties and detailed documentation including shop drawings, certificates of craftsmanship, installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and maintenance guides are required. Delivery is due December 31, 2026, FOB destination, with shipping costs not quoted separately. Amendment 0002, effective August 14, addresses contractor questions and extends the original August 14 deadline to August 21. The NAICS code is 331222 (Steel Wire Drawing); PSC is 5660 (Fencing, Fences, Gates and Components). Contracting Officer: Donald Richer, 509-633-9515, donald_richer@ios.doi.gov.
