1. The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions asked by a contractor.

Question: I need to know what the road width is for each gate location, whether any of the openings will be covered by a dual gate setup or are they covered by a single gate, gate height requirements, will the gates be fabricated from ornamental aluminum, steel or chain link and lastly, will barbed wire or security finials be required?

Answers:

Gate 1 (single gate over roadway): Panel needs to be 21' in length right hand open and panel should be 7' amplimesh (or equivalent) nominal

3.125" by 2.875" diamond 6063-T5 alloy aluminum screen fabric welded both sides completely, with sway bracing. Leading member of an aluminum barrier 4" schedule 40 round tube, sway braces- 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ x 1/8 square tube uprights- 2 x 2 x .188 square tube. Sway braces bolted to barrier. Barriers with sway braces are designed to withstand 100 MPH wind load, or optional 150 MHP sway bracing. 1' barbed wire top.

Gate 2 (single gate over roadway): Barrier shall be a structural assembly containing a crash beam hinged at one end - lockable at the other, which can be raised and lowered hydraulically with a minimum K-12/M-50 crash rating.

Barrier Height: Height of the Barrier shall nominally be 33 inches (0,93 M) as measured from the roadway surface to the centerline of the crash beam.

Barrier Clear Opening: The standard clear opening shall be 264 inches (22ft) as measured inside-to-inside of the hinge and locking buttress.

Gate set 3 (2 gates covering 2 lanes of travel): (Each gate for 2 gates) Panel needs to be 14' in length 1 right hand open and 1 left
