About this opportunity
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking a contractor to provide vegetation and infrastructure rehabilitation services at the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge following the Border 2 Fire. The scope includes three primary services: invasive weed treatment across 122.1 acres within a 500-foot buffer zone and dozer lines, repair and replacement of exclusionary fencing along various boundary lines using 12-gauge galvanized smooth wire, and native seeding and erosion control measures in habitat rehabilitation areas. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, and materials including herbicides, fencing materials, and seeding supplies, with specific requirements to treat invasive weeds to less than 1% cover and implement native plant seeding techniques. The government will evaluate proposals based on technical merit, past experience, and price, reserving the right to award to a non-lowest price offer if other factors are more compelling. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for July 1, 2025, questions were due by July 7, 2025, and quotes must be submitted by July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM EDT.
