About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 issued a Notice of Intent on August 6, 2026, to award a sole-source contract to Vecna Technologies, Inc., for a three-year warranty extension on 58 Vecna patient self-service kiosks deployed across the VA Augusta Health Care System and supporting VA clinic locations. The kiosks streamline Veteran check-in and patient engagement; continued warranty coverage ensures uninterrupted operation, timely support, and availability of OEM replacement parts. The sole-source justification rests on proprietary software with no authorized resellers or distributors. The contract structure comprises a base year plus two option years. NAICS 541511 (Custom Computer Programming Services) applies; small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested parties may challenge the sole-source determination by submitting clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government. The response deadline was August 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, directed to Contracting Officer Earnest Ellison (Earnest.Ellison@va.gov). The Contracting Office is located at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System in Montgomery, Alabama.
