About this opportunity

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division is seeking to procure Vacuum Sensor Calibrators (VSCs) for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) program. The procurement aims to replace existing vacuum sensor calibration equipment with new systems capable of supporting calibration workloads for various vacuum sensors used in monitoring vacuum furnaces. Potential contractors must demonstrate technical capability to perform the requirement, manage prime contractor responsibilities, and conduct the Statement of Work requirements. The anticipated contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) mechanism with a two-year performance period. Key submission requirements include a Capability Statement addressing contractor qualifications, which should be emailed to brian.a.staub2.civ@us.navy.mil by April 8, 2025, with the Request for Proposal (RFP) expected to be issued in June 2025 through the System of Award Management (SAM.gov).

The procurement has no specific set-aside designation and falls under NAICS category 334519 for Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The contract will allow for a minimum of one and a maximum of seven VSCs, with each system requiring comprehensive deliverables including operator/service manuals, calibration certifications, instrument calibration procedures, and software documentation. The manufacturer must provide a minimum one-year commercial warranty and serialize all systems with warranty stickers. A three-day training course for up to ten persons is also mandatory, covering maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and component installation. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed, the contract will support critical metrology and calibration needs for Naval Air Systems Command, with technical specifications requiring precise vacuum measurement capabilities ranging from 10-4 to 1,000 Torr and meeting stringent military equipment standards.
