About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking to procure Vacuum Sensor Calibrators through a solicitation (N6426725R1100) that is a combined synopsis and request for proposal (RFP). The procurement is for a minimum of one and up to seven calibration devices under an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract lasting three years. Proposals will be evaluated on three primary factors: technical merit, past performance, and evaluated price, with offerors required to demonstrate compliance with detailed technical specifications outlined in the Calibration Standards Specification CSS FY20-JAX-0001. The solicitation follows commercial product acquisition procedures under NAICS code 334519, with a size standard of 600 employees. Offerors must submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 representations and certifications, and the deadline for submitting questions is 12 calendar days following the solicitation's issuance.

The contract opportunity has no specific set-aside designation and will be performed in Jacksonville, FL 32212. The vacuum sensor calibrators are intended for shore-based laboratories and must meet rigorous technical requirements, including measuring absolute vacuum in test volumes from 10-4 to 1,000 Torr with a minimum uncertainty of 0.12% and resolution of 10-5 Torr. The equipment must provide vacuum pumping capacity of at least 10 liters/minute and include specific accessories such as vacuum hoses, centering rings, clamps, and adapters. The devices are designed to Class 4 military specifications, with requirements for a 12-month calibration interval, reliability of 10,000 operational hours, and preventive maintenance not exceeding 15 minutes per 30-day period. Offerors must demonstrate the ability to manufacture and deliver calibration systems capable of both automatic and manual pressure control, with proposals subject to a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation approach.
