About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command is procuring preventative maintenance services for two vacuum furnaces located at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. The contract requires bi-annual maintenance visits for one IPSEN Vacuum Furnace (Model HR 66X60 2-Bar) and one GM Vacuum Furnace (Model HVF 701-XXB 2 BAR), with contractors responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals necessary for proper servicing. Key requirements include submitting field service reports within seven days of service completion and providing technical support during standard business hours Monday through Friday. The government will evaluate proposals based on the lowest evaluated price among quotes that meet or exceed the requirements, making this a firm fixed-price procurement where initial offers should represent the vendor's best price and technical acceptability. All quotes must be submitted via email to Ryan Cram at ryan.m.cram.mil@us.navy.mil no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on August 25, 2025, with no late submissions accepted.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 811310 with a size standard of $12,500,000, and interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to offer submission. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent contractors or specific award values, though the contract structure includes a base period from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 with four additional one-year option periods extending through September 30, 2029, representing a potential 4.5-year contract duration. The maintenance services will be performed twice annually on both furnaces during each visit, totaling four individual furnace maintenance sessions per year. All work will be conducted at the FRCSE facility in building 797 at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, with contractors required to comply with specific base access procedures and work restrictions including DBIDS credentials, vehicle access passes, and adherence to security protocols.
