About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 is seeking lodging services for veterans receiving medical treatment at the St. Louis Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center. The procurement involves fully furnished hotel/motel rooms with specific service requirements, including no-cost breakfast, shuttle transportation to the VA facility, and on-site staff to assist veterans. Vendors must directly handle reservations and provide comprehensive lodging services, with an emphasis on personal interaction and issue resolution for veterans. The RFI is designed to gather market intelligence about potential qualified sources and their business size classification under NAICS code 721110. Responses must be submitted via email to Laura Ferguson by February 6, 2025 at 1700 CST, with vendors required to provide their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), business size status, and capability to meet contract requirements.

This pre-solicitation notice does not currently have a specific small business set-aside, though the VA is evaluating potential set-aside strategies based on market research. The contract requires two rooms to be available daily from Sunday through Friday, located within 5 miles of the VA Medical Center. Rooms must be ADA compliant and meet standard fire safety requirements. Vendors must demonstrate their ability to meet limitations on subcontracting if proposing as a small business, including providing at least 51% of work through a self-performance worksheet. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of providing supportive, high-quality lodging services that minimize veterans' potential anxiety associated with medical care. Interested parties must provide comprehensive evidence of their capabilities to successfully fulfill the contract requirements.
