About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a service-disabled veteran-owned small business to provide lodging services in Louisville, Kentucky. The contractor must provide nine double-occupancy hotel rooms within five miles of the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, with seven rooms available Monday through Thursday evenings and two rooms on Sundays. At least two rooms each night must be handicap accessible. The rooms will be held until 5:00PM daily and then released. A request for proposal will be issued on November 26, 2021 on www.Sam.gov, with proposals due December 20, 2021.
This procurement is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The requirement is for lodging services to support veterans' medical care for an initial one year period with options to extend up to four additional years. The contractor must provide seven double-occupancy rooms nightly from Monday to Thursday including two handicap accessible rooms, and two double-occupancy handicap accessible rooms on Sundays.

This purpose of this synopsis is to notify potential SDVOSB vendors of a requirement that the Louisville Kentucky, VA Medical Center has for Hoptel services. The rooms offered shall be within 5 miles of the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. This contract shall be for a base period of one year with the option to extend four additional optional year periods.
Lodging Requirements
A. Seven (7) double-occupancy rooms shall be required of the Contractor for VA lodging services Monday through Thursday evenings. At least two (2) of these rooms per night are to be handicap accessible. An occasional rollaway bed may be requested and is to be provided at no additional charge. The veteran is permitted to have a spouse/significant other or other family member reside in the room with them for the duration of the stay. The rooms are to be held in reserve until 5:00PM each day and released back to the vendor after this time.
B. Two (2) double-occupancy, handicap accessible rooms shall be required of the Contractor for VA lodging services on Sunday evenings.
