About this opportunity

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is soliciting construction services for repairs at two floodwater retarding structures in the Hickory Creek Watershed in Denton County, Texas. The work involves upstream wave berm repairs and plunge basin erosion mitigation at Sites 11 and 14, including stripping and stockpiling topsoil, excavation and earthfill activities, placing geotextile fabric and rock riprap, backfilling, establishing vegetation, and reconstructing fencing. Contractors must complete the work sequentially, finishing one site before beginning work on the other. The contract will be awarded under sealed bidding procedures using FAR Part 14, with bids evaluated solely on price to the responsible bidder offering the lowest conforming price. This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, restricting participation to qualified small businesses. The estimated contract value ranges between $1,250,000 and $1,750,000, with a performance period of 262 work days from contract award. Bidders must provide a bid guarantee equal to 20% of their bid price or $3 million, whichever is less.
