About this opportunity

The USDA Forest Service has issued a Special Notice for industry input on potential revisions to the National Mobile Food Services (MFSU) Unit support contract for the 2025-2029 period. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks feedback on various aspects of the contract, including an EPA clause for transportation, updates to dispatch procedures, the daily minimum guarantee, supporting spike camps, and dispatch minimum numbers.

The purpose of this RFI is to gather industry input that may inform a future solicitation for commercial, performance-based, multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with fixed-price Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for meal services. While this RFI will not result in awards, the Forest Service is interested in receiving questions and comments from industry by the December 31, 2024 deadline, which should be submitted via the provided QC Form to the specified email address. The contract is set aside for small businesses, and the agency has historically placed over $200 million in orders between 2015-2018, with individual contractors receiving an average of 4 dispatches annually.
