About this opportunity

The Department of Homeland Security's United States Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center Yorktown has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Fortior Solutions, LLC for the provision of access control equipment, subscription services, software, and maintenance for up to six handheld scanners at the training center's main access control point. This Special Notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but rather a notification of the USCG's plan to procure these services through a sole-source contract.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the USCG's intent to award a sole-source contract to Fortior Solutions, as they are the sole provider of the RAPIDGate Program and its associated RcX capabilities, which are required to meet the specific access control requirements. The notice provides a deadline of June 11, 2024, for any parties who believe they can perform the required services to submit a capability statement for the government's consideration. However, the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received. The contract is set aside for small businesses and the estimated value is $104,379.14 for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods.
