The contract will include a base period of one year with four option years, and the polo shirts serve as mandatory issued items for incoming cadets with specifications that cannot be altered. The procurement falls under NAICS code 315210 (Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors) with a small business size standard of 750 employees, and the Berry Amendment will apply to this acquisition. Interested parties must submit responses by September 2, 2025, including their capabilities package with DUNS number, CAGE code, and System for Award Management expiration date.

The government anticipates this requirement will be considered under a small business set-aside program, though this sources sought notice does not constitute a commitment and is for information and planning purposes only. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the pre-solicitation notice, and no specific award values or budget ranges are provided at this stage. The polo shirts must meet detailed technical specifications including royal blue polyester jersey knit fabric with moisture-wicking capabilities, white accents, and an embroidered Air Force Academy logo positioned precisely on the left breast. The annual quantity requirement of approximately 2,200 units reflects the Academy's need to outfit incoming cadet classes with this mandatory uniform component. Contractors will be required to submit first article samples for approval before full production and must adhere to strict quality control standards with 100% inspection of finished products.
