About this opportunity
The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA Randolph, Texas, published this Special Notice on behalf of the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command regarding a sole source procurement for a performance venue. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to ATG San Antonio, LLC for venue services to support the USAF Band of the West "Holiday in Blue" concert performances. This procurement falls under NAICS code 711310 for Promoters of Performing Arts, Sports and Similar Events with Facilities, with a business size standard of $40 million. The contract will be executed under FAR Parts 12 and 13 for commercial items and simplified acquisition procedures. The notice was originally posted on July 16, 2025, with an update on August 5, 2025, that included a single source justification document.
The primary objective is to secure a professional performance venue capable of accommodating the USAF Band of the West's annual holiday concert as part of JBSA's community outreach strategy to strengthen civilian-military partnerships in the San Antonio area. The venue must accommodate 75 performers on stage and seat at least 2,250 audience members, with availability required from December 8-10, 2025, including specific daily time blocks for rehearsals and performances. While this is a sole source procurement, the government invited capability statements from other qualified sources by the July 21, 2025, 3:00 PM CDT deadline to determine whether competitive procurement should be considered instead. Interested parties were required to submit their qualifications via email to designated contracting personnel, though submissions would only be evaluated to assess the potential for opening the requirement to competition. The performances will include video and audio recording for social media, broadcast, and television distribution, and must occur within Bexar County, Texas, to effectively reach the target audience.
