About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District is conducting market research for a new Electronic Security System (ESS) and maintenance service at the Wallisville Lake Project in Texas. The project seeks a comprehensive security solution that includes 360-degree surveillance with 4K resolution cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection, and fire detection for the Administration Building and Maintenance Bays. Potential contractors must submit a five-page response detailing their business classification, past performance, service percentages, and capability to manage the project by June 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. CDT. Responses will be evaluated based on demonstrated functional capability, with a focus on contractors' experience with similar security system installations. Submissions must be emailed to Jeffery Mason and include specific details about the company's qualifications and technical capabilities.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, though it encourages responses from various socioeconomic categories including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, and Women Owned Small Businesses. The primary NAICS code is 561621 for Security System Services, with a small business standard of $25,000,000. The contract appears to have a base year for installation followed by two service years for maintenance, warranty work, and system updates. While no specific award value is mentioned, the project will require a standalone security system using Starlink satellite technology, with all equipment manufactured in 2025 or newer. Contractors will be expected to perform work during standard business hours and provide comprehensive security monitoring and maintenance services for the Wallisville Lake Project site.
