About this opportunity

The Department of the Army, specifically the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC), is seeking maintenance and support services for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) across multiple facilities. The procurement is currently in a pre-solicitation Request for Information (RFI) stage, with the goal of gathering market research to determine the most appropriate procurement method. Potential contractors must be capable of providing comprehensive 24/7 customer care and support for system maintenance at various MIRC locations, including headquarters and monitoring stations. Interested vendors are required to submit a capabilities statement via email to the Contract Specialist, Mr. William Campbell, by December 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM EST. Respondents must clearly identify their business size, provide a CAGE code, SAM UEI, and valid point of contact, with the understanding that this RFI does not guarantee a contract award.

The contract is structured with a base year and four potential option years, with the possibility of being set aside for small businesses in full or in part. While no specific award value is mentioned, the Performance Work Statement indicates the contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) arrangement covering maintenance across 12 locations. Contractors must have personnel who are U.S. citizens with appropriate security clearances, as the work involves access to classified areas. The maintenance requirements include adhering to manufacturer recommendations, providing emergency response times ranging from 4-6 hours for critical issues, and maintaining comprehensive support including help desk services, software license maintenance, and annual training. Multiple awards may be possible, and all small business set-aside categories will be considered during the procurement process.
