About this opportunity

The Montana Army National Guard seeks six ultrasonic weapon cleaners—two large-capacity systems for M2A1 .50 caliber weapons and four tabletop systems for M4 weapons—with a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ W9124V26QA015) due September 9, 2026. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 335999 with a 600-employee size standard.

Place of performance is Fort Harrison, Montana (1956 Mt. Majo Street, Fort Harrison, MT 59636). Large-capacity systems must accommodate field-stripped M2A1 weapons lying flat in stainless-steel tanks approximately 50 inches in length (within 2 inches tolerance); tabletop systems must accommodate M4 weapons in tanks approximately 20 inches in length (within 2 inches tolerance). M4 barrels will be removed before cleaning. All equipment must include independent cleaning and lubrication tanks, integrated timers, automatic tuning, auto shutoff safety features, and multiple racks and baskets for simultaneous processing of multiple weapons without mixing parts. Power consumption when all devices run simultaneously must not exceed 74 amps at 120V. All items must be manufactured in the USA or in a qualifying country as defined in DFARS 252.003; foreign manufacture with 889 forms is not acceptable. Contractors must be registered in SAM at award, provide new products only (no remanufactured or gray market items), and have products available on GSA Schedule at award.

The contractor shall provide all equipment, tooling, compatible non-hazardous cleaning and lubricating solutions sufficient for one complete fluid change per system, manuals, training (which may be satisfied through remote training and manufacturer-provided materials), shipping (FOB destination), and full manufacturer warranty. Award will be firm-fixed price based on best value considering past performance (SPRS, CPARS, and SAM databases), technical capability meeting all specifications, simplicity of use, and warranty. Quotations must be submitted by email to alice.a.hinck.civ@army.mil and remain valid for 90 days. Invoicing occurs through WAWF with payment via Electronic Funds Transfer from DFAS. Questions were due September 2, 2026; a clarification issued September 2–3 removed erroneous GSA Schedule requirements and confirmed minimum basket length of 19 inches for M4 systems.
