About this opportunity
The Department of State's International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) office at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico is conducting market research to assess industry capabilities for integrated warehousing, customs brokerage, transportation, and related services. INL Mexico currently contracts for these services in Brownsville, Texas, and is seeking to either validate the existing model or obtain information to inform a new, more efficient approach that accounts for the unique legal and operational conditions in the U.S. and Mexico. The RFI requests vendor capability statements and responses to specific questions regarding pricing models, NAICS/PSC codes, and recommendations to minimize costs and import fees. Key requirements include receiving, inspecting, warehousing, customs clearance, and transportation of equipment donations such as handheld analyzers, airboats, and other items.
This RFI is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes, and the government will not pay any costs associated with responding. There is no set-aside designation, and the RFI does not name any incumbent contractors. The government has not provided any details on award values or budget ranges, but the services support the delivery of equipment donations across Mexico. Responses to the RFI are due by October 31, 2024.
