About this opportunity
The Transportation Security Administration seeks industry input to develop an integrated logistics support services contract to maintain security equipment at hundreds of airports. Through this combined Sources Sought/Request for Information, TSA is looking for qualified vendors capable of providing ILS concepts and service level agreements to efficiently structure support and maximize equipment availability while minimizing costs, response times, and passenger wait times. Responses are due by September 17, 2021 and will be used to develop a Request for Proposal for these requirements to be released in Fiscal Year 2023.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Current contractors provide third-party maintenance for checkpoint and checked baggage devices under two existing contracts. Interested parties should outline capabilities, solutions, and teaming opportunities while addressing acquisition strategies, contract types, performance metrics, pricing approaches, and incentive concepts. Maintaining equipment across hundreds of airports presents challenges of efficiently responding to needs and keeping security technology operational to protect transportation systems as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration's mission.
