About this opportunity
The Air Mobility Command's 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is seeking qualified vendors to provide periodic maintenance services for a high-energy radiation Computed Tomography (CT) System, specifically the FF85 model located in Building 803 at Travis AFB in California. The maintenance requirement includes semi-annual preventive servicing, annual comprehensive inspections, and emergency troubleshooting support to prevent dust contamination within the system's high-energy X-ray tube heads and maintain vacuum seal integrity. Personnel performing this work must be qualified specifically for the FF85 CT system given the specialized and potentially hazardous nature of the equipment. This is a Sources Sought notice for informational purposes only, issued to gauge market availability among small businesses and other potential contractors; it does not constitute a commitment to award a contract or guarantee that a future Request for Quote will be issued. Interested vendors must submit their responses by December 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time to SSgt Alexander Love Gaunt, including their business information, capabilities package, and relevant certifications.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement, though the government has indicated particular interest in receiving responses from small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms, Certified 8(a) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Woman-Owned Small Businesses. The potential contract period runs from March 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with two additional option years, establishing a three-year maximum performance period. The maintenance schedule requires service every six months with an expanded annual inspection, plus up to two emergency troubleshooting visits per year, though no specific dollar value or budget range has been disclosed in this sources sought notice. The point of contact for technical questions is Mr. Jose Silva from 60 MXS/MXMFN, available at commercial 707-424-0955 or DSN 837-0955. Responding to this Sources Sought is purely optional and does not guarantee consideration in any future formal solicitation.
