About this opportunity
The USDA Forest Service is procuring roofing replacement services for Buildings 29 and 30 at the Trapper Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center in Montana, with an optional sheathing replacement item. The project involves removing existing asphalt shingles and installing new standing seam metal roofs with 24-gauge metallic-coated steel panels, including all necessary underlayment, flashing, and accessories. Contractors must have active SAM.gov registration, provide a payment bond for awards over $35,000, and demonstrate technical approach and prior roofing experience. The government will evaluate proposals using the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable methodology, assessing technical approach (including project schedule) and demonstrated prior experience before considering price. Two mandatory site visits are scheduled for August 14th and August 26th, 2025, questions are due by September 9th, 2025 at 1700 EST, and completed proposals must be submitted by September 16th, 2025 at 1700 EST.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside with no incumbent contractor identified in the solicitation documents. The estimated contract value ranges between $100,000 and $250,000, covering roofing work on two quarters buildings plus optional sheathing replacement. The contractor must begin work within 10 calendar days of receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 60 calendar days. Work is restricted to 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the government maintaining occupancy of the site during construction. The place of performance is located at 5139 West Fork Road, Darby, Montana 59829, approximately 26.5 miles from Darby in Ravalli County, at the Job Corps training center facility.
