The contractor must provide temporary overnight lodging for Veterans, caregivers, and donors undergoing lung and bone marrow transplantation, with services including fully furnished, non-smoking rooms with kitchens; ADA-compliant accommodations; weekly cleaning; shuttle transportation to the VA facility and local shopping areas; and administrative support such as weekly lodging reports and monthly invoices. The Statement of Work specifies that two hotels or motels are required for backup and redundancy, both located within a 12-mile radius of the main hospital campus at 1660 S. Columbian Way, Seattle, WA 98108, and all facilities must comply with applicable building codes, life safety codes, ADA guidelines, and OSHA standards. This pre-solicitation notice does not utilize a set-aside designation and no incumbent contractor information is identified in the announcement. The NAICS code is 561599 (All Other Travel Arrangement and Reservation Services) with a small business size standard of $32.5 million, and the PSC category is V231 (Transportation/Travel/Relocation—Travel/Lodging/Recruitment: Lodging, Hotel/Motel). The Statement of Work indicates the requirement currently involves approximately 11,000 lodging nights monthly, though the actual number of rooms required may increase or decrease based on operational needs during the contract period. The contract performance period is specified as fiscal year 2020 with five requested option years, suggesting a multi-year commitment with potential for significant volume. While no explicit award value or budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice, the substantial monthly lodging demand indicates a potentially significant contract value for qualified vendors.
