About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking qualified sources to procure parts in support of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter weapon system through a single purchase contract. The procurement includes two restricted components: 140 units of a Drive Shaft Coupling (NSN 1615-01-319-5092, Part Number 145D3500-17) and 17 units of Shipping and Storage components (NSN 8145-01-128-1843, Part Number 145G0031-1). All offerors must meet prequalification requirements to be eligible for award, and interested firms are encouraged to seek source approval through AvMC's public website to compete for future solicitations. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the solicitation notice, the government emphasizes that all responsible sources may submit offers for consideration. The solicitation was posted on April 30, 2026, with an estimated due date of May 15, 2026; interested parties should direct all requests and communications to Justin Taylor, Contract Specialist, at justin.2.taylor@dla.mil.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement. The items are currently restricted to The Boeing Company (CAGE Code 77272), as the government does not own the data rights to purchase these parts from alternative sources and reverse engineering is deemed uneconomical. Production lead times are measured in days after contract award both with and without first article testing, though specific timelines and award values are not disclosed in this synopsis. Deliveries are required to Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma (73145-8000), though the place of performance is identified as Ridley Park, Pennsylvania (19078). Foreign firms must process all solicitation requests through their respective embassies.
