About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is soliciting quotations for temporary lodging services to support Sail 250, a major maritime event commemorating the nation's 250th anniversary. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial services issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under Federal Acquisition Regulation streamlined procedures for commercial services. The Coast Guard requires lodging accommodating up to 100 personnel (Coast Guard members and Coast Guard Auxiliary) with dual occupancy rooms featuring shared bathrooms, linens, towels, and pillows. Key requirements include a full indoor laundry facility with 24/7 guest access, internet access in every room, daily room rates not exceeding $291 per member per day, 24/7 assistance for lodging and safety issues, and preference for 24/7 security patrols and daily room cleaning. The government will select the most cost-efficient option meeting all stated requirements. The deadline for submission of quotations is February 1, 2026, with the solicitation posted on January 22, 2026.
This procurement includes no set-aside designation and identifies no incumbent contractors. The lodging facility must be located in Boston, Massachusetts, within 5-7 miles of the North End, close to public transportation and food locations, with sufficient ventilation suitable for July weather. Services are required for a 12-day period from July 6, 2026 through July 17, 2026. While no specific award value is stated in the solicitation notice, the maximum daily rate of $291 per member per day for up to 100 rooms provides a cost ceiling for evaluation purposes. The contractor must provide all submittals in PDF or Word format to the US Coast Guard Contracting Officer, and the final number of rooms needed will be confirmed prior to the scheduled check-in date.
