About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is soliciting preventive maintenance services for critical mechanical equipment and cooling systems within the embassy compound through a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The scope encompasses maintaining modular chillers, pump modules, central station air-handling units with variable frequency drives, ventilation fans, air terminals, exhaust fans, electric water heaters, and domestic booster pumps and storage systems. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and will need appropriate security clearance to access the Controlled Access Area (CAA) space, with a DD 254 security classification specification to be issued by the government. The solicitation will be evaluated on a lowest-price, technically acceptable basis, considering the offeror's ability to perform, past performance, and compliance with solicitation requirements. Originally due August 27, 2025, Amendment 0001 extended the response deadline to September 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time, with electronic submissions required in specified formats not exceeding 30MB.
This opportunity has no set-aside designation and is open to all responsible sources, with no incumbent contractors identified in the documentation. The contract structure is firm-fixed-price for a 12-month base period with an option to extend services for an additional six months. The performance standard requires no more than one customer complaint per month, and contractors must provide consumable spare parts including treatment tablets, testing equipment, and conduct specialized testing such as annual Megger testing and thermographic analysis. All work will be performed at the U.S. Embassy compound located in Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán, Honduras, specifically within sensitive CAA areas requiring security clearances. The government will provide major materials such as air filters, electrical components, and chemical treatments, while contractors are responsible for consumables and specialized testing services including quarterly laboratory analysis of corrosion coupons.
