About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking a turn-key solution for a new 75-meter target retrieval system at Patrick Space Force Base, which involves removing and disposing of the existing system and installing a comprehensive new facility. The solicitation requires a contractor to design, fabricate, and install a system with 10 shooting booths, each equipped with bulletproof dividers, fold-out barricades, raise-up tables, and magazine storage, capable of being controlled simultaneously from a single computer in the operations tower. Potential contractors must submit electronic technical quotes demonstrating their capability to meet these requirements, with submissions due by May 22, 2025, and questions accepted until April 23, 2025. The government will evaluate offers based on technical acceptability, price, and past performance, with the intent to award a firm-fixed-price contract to the offeror providing the best overall value. Questions and attendance for a mandatory site visit should be coordinated with SSgt Gage Belyeu, with the site visit scheduled for April 28, 2025.
The solicitation is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 339920, with a size standard of 750 employees, targeting businesses in the Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing category. The project will be located in Building 9693 at 9693 Rescue Road, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, with a required installation timeline of 45 days following contract award. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the contract includes two primary line items for system installation and removal, with the government reserving the right to cancel the solicitation before or after the closing date due to current fund availability limitations. The new target retrieval system must meet all safety and security regulations, be compatible with existing infrastructure, and include a one-year warranty. Contractors will be expected to work within standard base operating hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and coordinate closely with base personnel including SSgt Kyle Green, SrA Tuan Nguyen, and SSgt Gregory Tomala.
