About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors for slope protection and erosion control work at Steamboat Rock State Park, located approximately 14 miles southwest of Grand Coulee, Washington. The primary work involves placing void-filled riprap with soil-filled gaps to stabilize northern shore slopes, adding topsoil, and revegetating areas below elevation 1572.00 feet using native grasses and shrubs. Prospective contractors must demonstrate capability to manage complex requirements, possess relevant project experience, and provide evidence of construction bonding capacity. A critical project requirement prohibits temporary roads within the drawdown zone of Banks Lake, and contractors must submit detailed access and temporary storage plans for Reclamation approval before construction begins. Interested parties must submit responses by February 25, 2026, including statements of interest for prime and/or subcontractor roles, bonding information, size status certifications, and relevant project experience. Questions should be directed to mnaseath@usbr.gov or bpalen@usbr.gov; phone calls and facsimile requests will not be accepted.
This is a Sources Sought notice for market research purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract. No set-aside designations apply to this procurement. The size standard for this procurement is $45 million, and the contract falls under PSC category Y1PZ (Construction Of Other Non-Building Facilities).
