About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is conducting market research for pest management services on behalf of the Defense Centers for Public Health-Aberdeen (DCPH-A) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The contract involves monthly pest control services for Building E-2850, focusing on rodent management using approved bait stations and EPA-registered rodenticides. Contractors must conduct monthly site visits to monitor and replace traps, dispose of rodent carcasses, and submit detailed monthly reports documenting pest types and quantities. Interested vendors are required to submit a three-page capabilities statement by April 16, 2024, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time to the Contract Specialist. The evaluation will emphasize past performance, technical skills, management capabilities, and the ability to perform specialized pest control services in a sensitive laboratory environment.
The contract is currently not set aside for any specific business category and will be a firm-fixed price agreement with a 12-month base period anticipated to start around June 1, 2025. The scope includes monitoring 16 perimeter doors, 5 break rooms, and 36 specific rooms, along with 18 outside bait stations around the building's perimeter. Contractors must maintain a 10% extra inventory of traps and follow strict guidelines to avoid interfering with laboratory studies. Work will be performed between 0730-1600 hours Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and contractors must complete mandatory training such as Anti-Terrorism Level I and iWATCH training. The contract falls under NAICS code 561710 for Exterminating and Pest Control Services, with an estimated workload of one initial visit and 11 monthly follow-up visits.
