About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks quotations for two 12 GHz Vector Signal Generators (100 MHz to 12 GHz frequency range), with quotations due July 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM MDT and questions due July 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM MST. This is an unrestricted procurement under NAICS 334515 with a small business size standard of 750 employees.
Place of performance and acceptance is NIST-Boulder, Colorado (325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305). Both units must be from the same manufacturer to ensure compatibility with remote programming, operation, and phase-locking capabilities. The specified equipment is Rhode & Schwarz SGS100A or equal, with detailed technical requirements including quadrature modulated I/Q output with dynamic range from −110 dBm to +15 dBm, I/Q modulator bandwidth exceeding 500 MHz, phase-locking capability via 1 GHz or higher reference frequency, form factor of 19" by 1U maximum and under 15 pounds, frequency error less than 0.1 PPM, SSB phase noise below −100 dBc at 20 kHz carrier offset, and fast remote setting time under 1 millisecond. Equipment must be new with original manufacturer's full warranty and U.S.-based service support. All quoters must maintain active SAM.gov registration and possess an active Unique Entity Identifier at submission and throughout contract performance. Award will be made to the responsible quoter with the lowest priced, technically acceptable quotation. Prototypes, demonstration models, used, or refurbished instruments will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation at any time; no award will be made until funding is secured.
