About this opportunity
Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 (VA) is preparing to procure sit-to-stand patient lift equipment and solicits source information by October 2, 2026, with no anticipated set-aside. The equipment must meet specific performance requirements including compatibility with clip-based standing slings (ARJO MFA3000 or equivalent disposable slings), flexible silicon leg support with knee pad and leg strap, low horizontal footplate, and integrated scale within hand control with built-in display. The lift must weigh less than 120 pounds including the scale, support a minimum weight capacity of 440 pounds, and feature electronically adjustable legs ranging from a closed width of no more than 26 inches to an open width of at least 40 inches. Additional specifications include low-friction casters with rear brakes, emergency stop and emergency lowering controls, charger with two replacement batteries, and usability across even and corrugated flooring.
The VA is conducting market research to inform procurement strategy and explicitly invites Small Business vendors, particularly those classified as SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, or WOSB. Vendors must respond with business information including SAM UID, NAICS code, size classification, business type, estimated market research pricing, and OEM authorization status (authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller). Existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contract holders should reference those details. Responses should be directed to Lesley Kitchen (lesley.kitchen@va.gov) by 3:00 PM Central Time on October 2, 2026. Performance is at Dallas Veterans Medical Center. Pricing information will influence whether the future solicitation carries a set-aside, sole-source intent, or remains unrestricted.
