NHTSA plans to conduct eighteen (18) sled-on-sled side impact tests using the developed test procedure to further demonstrate reproducibility of the side impact test procedure on a decelerating sled system. The tests shall be conducted on a deceleration sled system. Two child restraint system (CRS) configurations shall be conducted - forward facing and rear facing. The Q3 side (Q3s) three-year-old and the Child Restraint/Air Bag Interaction twelve-month-old (CRABI 12) anthropometric test devices (ATD) will be used for testing.
