About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking a one-time repair service for a Leica T-Probe at the Oklahoma City-Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC). The contract requires a qualified contractor authorized to work on Hexagon Leica Probes to perform off-site repairs, providing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and quality control services. Contractors must use new parts and materials, with any long-lead items over five business days requiring detailed documentation to the Government Point of Contact (GPOC). The procurement is classified under NAICS category 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a specific Product Service Code (PSC) of J065 for medical equipment maintenance and repair. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 13, 2025, with responses due by February 14, 2025, indicating a very tight timeline for potential bidders.
The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation, meaning it is open to all qualified contractors who meet the specialized requirements. While no incumbent contractor is mentioned, the scope of work is specifically for a one-time repair of a Leica Probe, suggesting this is a targeted, specialized procurement. The contract appears to be for a single repair service with no indications of multiple units or a long-term contract duration. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive repair services, including ensuring all components and services conform to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, but the specialized nature of the repair suggests potential for a precision-focused, potentially high-value service contract.
