The contractor must maintain dedicated plows, spreaders, loaders, and skid steers within 25 miles of the campus, provide 15-minute emergency callback capability, and coordinate traffic control with VA Police. In the multi-level parking garage, only sodium acetate, potassium acetate, or calcium magnesium acetate may be used, plow blades must be urethane or heavy-rubber, and rock salt is prohibited.
