About this opportunity

Ames Laboratory, Department of Energy, seeks to acquire parts for a high-throughput reactor, with proposals due July 23, 2026, by 4:00 PM Central Time and questions due July 20, 2026. This is an unrestricted full and open competition using Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable evaluation.

Place of performance is Ames, Iowa. The procurement requires a fully integrated, mechanically assembled system comprising three components: a Multi-Channel Gas Feed Distribution Module supplying eight parallel reactors at up to 30 bar with 316 stainless steel wetted components; a High-Temperature Multi-Reactor Catalyst Screening Assembly accommodating eight parallel fixed-bed reactors with minimum 800°C continuous operating temperature, 30 bar maximum pressure, and 316 stainless steel or equivalent high-temperature alloy tubes; and a Heated Multi-Channel Product Sampling and Stream Selection System compatible with eight reactor outlets, featuring motorized selector valve with computer interface control, minimum 120°C operating temperature, and integrated back-pressure regulation. Reactor tubes must hold 100 to 1000 milligrams of catalyst with 0.1 to 1.0 cubic centimeter total volume and approximately 400 millimeter heated length with 3–5 millimeter inside diameter. The supplier must demonstrate proven experience designing and manufacturing custom high-pressure, high-temperature catalytic reactor systems for academic or government research laboratories and provide engineering support during installation and commissioning. Equipment must be physically received by September 17, 2026, for favorable non-cost factor evaluation. The contract type is Firm Fixed Price. NAICS code is 334516 with small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Offerors may propose pricing from GSA Federal Supply Schedules, NASA SEWP contracts, or DOE ICPT Basic Ordering Agreements.
