About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Joint Munitions Command is requesting information on licensed approved vendors capable of performing fire-tube repairs on a Cleaver-Brooks CB200-250-150ST boiler at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, Oklahoma, with responses due by June 29, 2026; this is a Total Small Business set-aside.
The scope involves replacing fire tubes on two boilers (Model CB200-250-150ST, Serial Numbers L54363 and L54362) located in Building 165 at the ammunition plant. Work includes mobilizing a certified boiler mechanic, cutting flush patches on each side of the fire tunnel or executing tube ligament repair as an alternative, removing legacy fire tubes and installing government-furnished replacement tubes, and performing seal welding per ASME codes. The contractor must conduct hydrostatic testing to standard operating pressure and complete formal closing and sealing of both waterside and fireside of the vessels.
Work must be completed within 30 calendar days of mobilization during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays) unless otherwise authorized. All contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens and pass background checks for MCAAP entry credentials; gate access coordination is required at least two business days prior to mobilization. Contractor personnel must comply with OSHA guidelines and USACE EM 385-1-1 safety regulations.
The government furnishes replacement fire tubes, utilities, and on-site waste disposal. Contractors must coordinate a site visit inquiry with Regina L. Gibson at regina.l.gibson7.civ@army.mil. A detailed statement of work is available in the posted attachment.
