About this opportunity

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has issued a Request for Information seeking an automated service for producing maps and charts that meet their operational requirements. The agency requires a flexible capability to create multi-scaled standard map products with the ability to transition to future data sources and schemas. On day one, the capability must support at minimum 1:25K, 1:50K, 1:100K Topographic Maps (TMs) and Military Topographic Maps (MTMs), and 1:250K Joint Operations Graphics (JOGs), with future expansion planned for additional map products. The system must be capable of ingesting data from various authoritative and user-generated sources, applying data thinning and generalization, and producing outputs compatible with leading GIS software. The RFI response deadline was January 6, 2025, and NGA has since determined this requirement can be fulfilled through a competitive solicitation on GSA Schedule category 54155S.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the documentation. No specific award values, budget ranges, or contract quantities are disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials. NGA has completed its review of RFI responses and plans to issue the competitive solicitation via GSA E-Buy in late summer 2025. The requirement falls under NAICS code 541 for Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, indicating the technical nature of the automated mapping services being sought. NGA may conduct meetings with potential providers for capability clarification, though the RFI itself does not commit the government to any future procurement actions.
