About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VA) is conducting market research to procure a SMART DOP XT ABI machine for the Amarillo VA Clinic's Radiology Service. The machine will be used to perform noninvasive ankle brachial indexing to aid in diagnosing peripheral artery disease. Specific requirements include DICOM compatibility, a Windows 10 Professional PC, vascular documentation software, a hospital-grade cart, on-site in-service training, and a two-year warranty. Interested vendors are asked to submit detailed responses by March 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM Central Time, including business information, SAM registration details, NAICS code, business size, and type of business ownership. The VA is particularly interested in identifying small businesses capable of providing this medical equipment, and vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing to help determine the procurement strategy.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, though the VA is exploring potential small business opportunities. The equipment will be delivered to the Lubbock VA warehouse, with the VA handling internal transportation to the Biomed Department. The solicitation covers one (1) SMART DOP XT ABI machine, with a comprehensive list of included components such as multiple probes, cuffs, a PC, and documentation software. Vendors with existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts are encouraged to respond, and the agency will use the submitted information to determine the future solicitation approach. The procurement falls under the NAICS category of Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (339112) and the PSC category of Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies (6515).
