About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin intends to solicit an enterprise Radiology and Cardiology Picture Archiving and Communication System for the Veterans Health Administration through RFP 36C10B27R0003, released unrestricted on SAM.gov with an estimated release in November 2026. Other requirements include AI support for intracranial hemorrhage, large vessel occlusion, mammography, and lung nodule detection; integrated voice recognition; specialty viewers for cath, echo, MR, CT, EKG, and Holter; and National Teleradiology Program support. The system must reach 99.99% uptime and deploy in one of three architectures: 100% FedRAMP-certified SaaS, VA Enterprise Cloud across two regions, or hybrid cloud with on-premises deployment. Vendors must provide 24x7x365 support with senior escalation within 15 minutes, and comply with Section 508 and least-privilege access controls. RFI responses are limited to 15 pages in Word or PDF with 12-point minimum Arial or Times New Roman, and must include CAGE/SAM UEI, SBA VetCert certification if applicable, prior VA contracts with similar work, and recommended existing contract vehicles.
