About this opportunity
This Broad Agency Announcement from the Air Force Research Laboratory seeks white papers and proposals to fund innovative research and development of electro-optical and radio frequency sensor technologies across twelve technical areas. The Air Force intends to award multiple contracts totaling $99 million over seven years through the Laboratory's Multispectral Sensing and Detection Division. Offerors are invited to advance capabilities in fields including antenna technologies, infrared sensors, sensor data processing algorithms, hyperspectral imaging techniques, and radio frequency sensor systems. Evaluations will consider technical merit, cost realism, and risk. White papers are due by January 6, 2021, with requests for full proposals to follow.
There is no set-aside designated. The primary NAICS codes are 541712 and PSC codes R408 and R425. Current contractors for similar technologies include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. Individual contract awards may range from $100,000 to $10 million over one to three years. The Air Force Research Laboratory seeks to fund multiple awards through January 2028 to advance capabilities in fields such as novel sensor hardware, algorithms, and hyperspectral imaging.
