About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential insurance providers for a comprehensive global medical coverage plan. The Department of State seeks commercially available health insurance policies that can cover a wide range of medical services for approximately 280 employees and 620 eligible dependents. Desired coverage includes hospitalization, emergency services, ambulance care, outpatient services, prescription drugs, preventive care, mental health, dental, optical, reproductive health, and out-of-country medical treatment. Interested insurance companies must submit detailed company information, including their official name, Kyrgyzstan operating license, and contact details by June 6, 2025, at 14:00 local time via email to BishkekGSOProcurement@state.gov. The RFI is strictly for information gathering and planning purposes, with no guarantee of future solicitation or contract award.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for the potential contract. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While a precise award value is not specified, the scale of coverage suggests a significant medical insurance contract for approximately 900 total individuals (280 employees and 620 dependents). The RFI falls under the NAICS category 524114 for Direct Health and Medical Insurance Carriers and PSC category G007 for Social-Government Health Insurance Programs. Potential offerors are advised that all submission costs will be at their own expense, and all submitted materials will become government property. The embassy may potentially conduct follow-up meetings with service providers to clarify capabilities, but such meetings are not guaranteed.
