About this opportunity
The Department of State Office of Acquisition Management has issued a Special Notice (Request for Information) for Enterprise Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Services. This is a market research initiative targeting commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise hybrid cloud computing software and infrastructure platforms. The RFI seeks to identify industry capabilities for providing an integrated suite of software products capable of operating, automating, monitoring, and managing virtual desktops, servers, networks, data, memory, and storage services. Importantly, this is NOT a solicitation and does not commit the government to contract for any services. The opportunity is partially set aside for small businesses and will be processed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and Part 13 procedures.
Contractors interested in responding must submit their industry response by January 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time via email to MullenMM@state.gov and WarnerJ1@state.gov. Submissions must include company details, point of contact information, socio-economic status, and Unique Identity Number (UEI). The Department of State is specifically seeking a proven platform that can support critical business processes across over 300 sites and 275 missions worldwide. Respondents are advised that no compensation will be provided for information or administrative costs associated with the RFI, and all submissions will become government property. The projected North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 518210 for Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in future solicitations, and interested parties should monitor the System for Award Management (SAM) website for additional information.
