Description
NASA/John F. Kennedy Space Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for 80KSC0-19-R-0014 Replace Substation 1100 Switchgear, John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE NECESSARY RESOURCES TO:
Replace Substation 1100 Switchgear.
A list of tasks associated with the proposed work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Replacement of existing service entrance switchboard, with new switchboard with main-tie-main configuration and auto-transfer scheme.
2. Switchboard main-tie-main devices shall be electrically operated and metered, and be connected for remote monitoring and control.
The NAICS code for this procurement is 237130 with a small business size standard of $36.5M.
The effort will include the following task:
Task 1 - Replace Substation 1100 Switchgear
The Performance Period shall be completed in 310 calendar days after notice to proceed. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated price range is as follows:
The total estimated cost of this projects is in the estimated construction contract price range between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
The anticipated release date of the RFP is April 2019 with an anticipated offer closing date of May 2019. The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals shall be stated in the RFP. A site visit will be scheduled with an anticipated date in April or May 2019. Prime contractors will be limited on the number of personnel in attendance.
Specifications and Drawings have an Export Determination of EAR 99 and are considered controlled documents. Therefore, download of documents won't be permitted until requesters have been cleared through Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). Please begin FedBizOps registration immediately since clearance could take a couple of weeks.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement shall be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
