About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for repair services of F-15E APG-82v1 Radar components, specifically the Radar Power Supply (RPS), Common Integrated Sensor Processor (CISP), Receiver Exciter (REX), and Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA). Interested contractors must demonstrate expertise, capabilities, and experience in repairing these non-commercial, classified defense items and must provide all necessary materials, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and calibrated support equipment at their own facility or a subcontractor's facility. Key requirements include maintaining facilities capable of handling classified information up to the Secret level, providing contractor-furnished replacement parts that equal or exceed original material quality, and submitting monthly repair production status reports. Evaluation will be based on responses to a Contractor Capability Survey addressing business information, general repair capabilities, specific repair qualifications, and commerciality questions. Responses must be submitted by March 24, 2026, via email to Madison Norris (madison.norris@us.af.mil) and Joseph Jones (joseph.jones.81@us.af.mil), with attachments limited to 10 MB per email.
This opportunity is not designated for small business or any other set-aside category. Raytheon Technologies is the current sole-source provider for all four radar components. The Government does not own or have access to technical data for these items, and no samples are available for potential suppliers to evaluate. The RFI explicitly states that participation in this market research does not guarantee participation in future solicitations or contract awards, and the Government will not reimburse any expenses associated with participation. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements. Interested sources must address deficiencies through the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) in accordance with USAF procedures.
