About this opportunity

The 153d Airlift Wing of the Wyoming Air National Guard is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for repairing fire suppression systems at their Cheyenne Regional Airport facility. This sources sought announcement is designed to determine the availability of small business contractors who can perform comprehensive fire pump system inspections and repairs. Interested companies are required to submit detailed company information, including their business classification (such as small business, 8(a), VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, SDB, or WOSB), CAGE code, contact details, and GSA Advantage availability. Responses must be submitted electronically to MSgt Kris Kahle and MSgt Chris Davalos by April 7, 2025, with all communication strictly limited to written format. The primary evaluation will focus on contractors' capabilities to meet the technical requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement, including ability to conduct visual inspections, replace mechanical components, and perform comprehensive system testing.

The pre-solicitation notice currently indicates no specific set-aside designation, leaving the opportunity open to various small business categories. While no specific award value is mentioned, the project involves detailed fire suppression system repairs, including replacing mechanical seals, solenoid valves, and conducting flow and pressure tests. The work is expected to be performed during standard business hours (7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday) and will require strict adherence to base access and security protocols. The solicitation number W50S8W-25-Q-0008 suggests this is a specific, targeted procurement for the Wyoming Air National Guard's facility. Contractors will need to provide all necessary equipment, maintain safety standards, and coordinate closely with the designated Point of Contact throughout the project. The ultimate goal is to gather market research information to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy for future solicitation.
