The Department of State seeks delivery and installation of approximately 128 square meters of new parquet flooring at the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria, with quotations due August 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time and technical or administrative questions due August 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Place of performance is Vienna, Austria. Work scope includes site setup and cleanup, demolition and disposal of existing parquet, subfloor sanding and adhesive residue removal, delivery and installation of glued parquet in chequerboard pattern (16x16 cm, 8 mm thick, oak, grade "Nature," unfinished), machine sanding and sealing with two-component polyurethane-acrylic lacquer to highest wear class per OENORM C 2354, solid oak skirting board installation, sanding and refinishing of existing threshold steps, and installation of elastic sealant joints at ceramic floor connections. All work must comply with the attached Statement of Work and applicable OENORM standards. Execution period is September 2026, with performance to begin within 10 calendar days of award and complete within 30 calendar days of notice to proceed.

Minimum contractor qualifications include English language capability, an established business in Austria or commitment to establish one within 30 days of award, prior construction experience with references, necessary personnel and equipment, all required local licenses and permits, general liability insurance of at least EUR 250,000 per occurrence and EUR 500,000 cumulative for bodily injury and property damage, and security clearance for all workers within ten days of award. An English-speaking supervisor must remain on-site at all times. Bonds are required at 20% of contract value for contracts of EUR 70,000 or above. Liquidated damages are assessed at EUR 100.00 per calendar day for delays beyond the completion date. A 3-year warranty period applies from final acceptance. This solicitation is for the delivery and the installation of approximately 128 m2 new parquet floor at the property of the U.S. Embassy in 1190 Vienna.

The work includes but is not limited to:
 

  • Site installation
  • Demounting and disposal of existing paraquet floor
  • Sand existing subfloor and remove adhesive residues
  • Delivery and installation of glues parquet
  • Sanding as per SOW
  • Sealing and finishing as per SOW

All work must be performed according to the attached Statement of Work (attachment #3) and supporting documents.
