About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is soliciting proposals for the remanufacture of F108 Turbine Clearance Control Valves (NSN: 4810-01-460-3279PN), critical safety items essential for CFM56-2A and CFM56-2B engine components. This acquisition requires vendors to possess an approved Source Approval Request (SAR) prior to award, as qualification requirements apply and the selected awardee must be an approved qualified source at the time of contract award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror based on firm fixed-price requirements under a five-year contract structure consisting of a base year and four one-year option periods. All responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals; however, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS), and provide a current NIST SP 800-171 assessment score. The solicitation response deadline was initially August 18, 2025, but was extended to October 17, 2025, at 1:30 PM CDT via amendment issued on August 19, 2025.

This is not a set-aside contract and was issued as a sole source requirement to AAR Corp., though all responsible sources may submit proposals for consideration. The basic ordering period covers one year with four one-year option periods totaling 60 months, with the contract effective date on or after September 18, 2025. The government will furnish the valve assemblies for remanufacture, requiring restoration to original life expectancy in accordance with applicable FAA Part 145 standards and CFM56 service bulletins. Initial year requirements include 100 units across three remanufacture and upgrade configurations, with minimum delivery schedules of eight units every thirty calendar days for standard remanufacture and ten units every five business days for upgrades. The work must be performed at an FAA Part 145-rated facility, with inspection and acceptance at origin, and the contractor must maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification and comply with comprehensive reporting requirements including daily Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force (CAVAF) system submissions and monthly Contract Depot Maintenance production reports.
