About this opportunity
The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service is seeking a comprehensive occupational medical examination program for Region 2's Law Enforcement and Investigation employees across Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska. The primary objective is to conduct general medical and occupational history reviews and physical examinations to determine employees' fitness for performing arduous duty positions and identify potential health issues that might impede official duties. Contractors must be able to provide medical services within 100 miles of specified cities in the region, with a detailed employee spreadsheet to be provided during the solicitation process. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 13, 2025, with responses due by May 17, 2025. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the notice, the contractor will need to demonstrate capability to provide comprehensive medical surveillance across multiple states.
This contract opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside, indicating that only small businesses are eligible to compete for the contract. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 622110 for General Medical and Surgical Hospitals and PSC category Q403 for Medical Evaluation/Screening services. The geographic scope is extensive, covering multiple cities across five states, which suggests a potentially significant contract value, though specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. Medical facilities must be strategically located to serve Region 2 employees in both urban and rural settings, with flexibility for exemptions for employees located beyond the 100-mile service radius. The contract will require comprehensive medical examination capabilities, including the ability to conduct thorough occupational health assessments for law enforcement and investigation personnel.
