About this opportunity
This notice is for an environmental monitoring service contract to be awarded on a sole source basis to Rees Scientific Corporation by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The service includes temperature and humidity monitoring equipment, validation, calibration, software support, and a five year comprehensive service package for equipment located at the Vaccine Research Center. Only Rees Scientific can meet the proprietary software and IT security requirements for integrating the system on the agency's network. Responses to the notice are due by February 20, 2024 to be considered, with award planned as a firm-fixed price contract with base year and four option years of performance.
The procurement has no set-aside designation. Rees Scientific is identified as the only potential incumbent due to the proprietary nature of the Centron monitoring system software. The contract value is undetermined but will include sensor calibration, validation documentation, training, and ongoing technical support services over the five year period for approximately 145 temperature sensors and related equipment located at the listed facility address. Award is expected to be under NAICS 541715 with PSC D302 for the environmental monitoring system and services.
