About this opportunity

US Army Special Operations Command is requesting information from industry on maintenance and repair services for Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD2) equipment, with responses due by August 26, 2026. This is a sources-sought notice (RFI) for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award.

The requirement covers comprehensive off-site maintenance and repair for six government-owned ROBD2 units: four Model 6202 units and two Model 6202-1 units. Work is performed at the contractor's facility with no routine access to government facilities required; technical support is delivered remotely during government operating hours (0900–1700 EST, Monday–Friday). The contract period spans one 12-month base year (September 15, 2026–September 14, 2027) plus four optional 12-month renewal periods.

Vendors must possess ISO 9001 certification and have technicians explicitly trained by Original Equipment Manufacturer Environics Inc. to qualify. CMMC Level 1 compliance is required prior to contract award. Services include annual calibration and verification (full system diagnostics, 21-point computerized calibration, 3-part leak tests, post-calibration verification), scheduled annual parts replacements (oxygen sensors, batteries, system fan filters, viton tubing, orifices), repair services upon written cost-estimate approval within 72 hours of assessment, and on-call remote technical support. Contractors must provide 30-day advance notice of scheduled service with 14-day detailed workorder notice, completion notifications within 4 working days, and calibration sheets within 14 days of completion. All materials, parts, tools, equipment, and facilities are contractor-furnished.

Current market research indicates only one vendor is capable of meeting this specialized requirement.
