About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care Systems (SLVHCS) in New Orleans, is seeking onsite audiologist and audiology health technician services through a Sources Sought Notice. The procurement aims to staff 1 Medical Assistant (Audiology Health Technician) and 3 Audiologists for an anticipated four-and-a-half-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract running from May 1, 2025, to September 30, 2029. Interested offerors must submit a 5-page capabilities response by March 25, 2025, at 3 p.m. Central Time, which should include company details, SAM unique ID, Federal Tax ID, contact information, and evidence of service provision capabilities. The evaluation will focus on companies' ability to demonstrate clear and convincing evidence of qualifications, with specific attention to local staffing to minimize travel costs. Candidates must be current in the System for Award Management (SAM) and prepared for credentialing and background checks before the anticipated May 1st start date.

The procurement is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), with a requirement that these businesses perform at least 51% of the work. The contract utilizes NAICS code 561320 (Temporary Help Services) with a size standard of $34.0 million, and SDVOSB/VOSB participants must be verified in VetBiz.gov. Services will be provided at the SLVHCS location at 2400 Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. While specific award values are not detailed, the long-term nature of the IDIQ contract suggests potential significant value over the 4.5-year period. Offerors are required to specify their current available contract staff, local capabilities, and confirm positions they can immediately staff for the May start date. The VA's procurement strategy emphasizes local, veteran-owned businesses with demonstrable capability to meet the staffing requirements for audiological services.
